RNIB Eye Clinic Support Service want to announce this exciting opportunity to join their North West team as an Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO), in the Southport and Ormskirk area.

About the Role
In this role, you will be a vital member of the team working directly with people who have sight loss. You will provide critical emotional support, information and advice within a hospital setting at the Eye Clinic at Southport & Ormskirk Hospital Trust. You will support people with sight loss by identifying their needs then signpost or refer service users, carers, family and friends to other services in the region.
Each day you will support people affected by sight loss in a very busy clinic setting, helping them to identify their needs, access information and make informed choices which enable and empower them to maintain their independence.
Who We're Looking For
You will have proven experience of delivering information and advice services working directly with the people you are supporting as well as maintaining professional relationships. To be successful in this role you must display impeccable record keeping skills.
You must be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent organisational skills and be a proficient user of multiple IT systems (Microsoft Office 365, databases and Customer record management systems- CRM's). This service works to an industry acknowledged quality framework and standards.
