RNIB are pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to join the ECLO team as part of the RNIB Eye Care Support Service.
About the Role
Do you enjoy talking to people? Are you able to reassure someone, find out what their main concerns are? Then this could be the job for you.
You will have training to become a qualified Eye Care liaison officer (ECLO) We want you to be the best you can be in supporting people effected by sight loss. You will have a range of CPD and opportunities to meet with other ECLO’s to share ideas and get peer support,
You will provide emotional support, information, face to face, via the phone and digital platforms as required. You will support people affected by sight loss to identify their needs, access information, and make informed choices which enable and empower them to maintain their independence.
You will work alongside our partners London Borough of Hounslow and Middlesex Association for the Blind to develop and embed an exciting new service to support people living with sight conditions within the catchment area of the London Borough of Hounslow.
Who We're Looking For
You will have significant experience of delivering information and advice services. Key to this role will be your excellent communication and relationship building skills.
You must be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent organisational skills and be a confident user of multiple IT systems.
