Assistant Campaigns Officer (London)
Job description
Closing date: 24 April 2019 at 23:59
Interview date: 2 or 3 May 2019
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Policy and Campaigns team as Assistant Campaigns Officer (Engagement) on a permanent basis. Breaking down the barriers to equal participation in society for blind and partially sighted people is a central part of RNIB's new strategy, so it is an exciting
time to join the team.
You'll work to support the Campaigns Engagement team to deliver the RNIB's Policy and Campaigning strategy, working nationally and in close collaboration with colleagues in the regional teams and more broadly across the organisation.
With excellent communication skills, you will help deliver specialist guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders, and act as the first point of contact for all those interested in RNIB's Policy and Campaigns activity.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with experience in campaigns, communications or similar environment in a paid or voluntary capacity. You may have organised events, trainings or workshops, working with supporters or campaigning activities, or have skills in digital campaigning and managing external enquiries.
If you think this role could be for you and think you have what we are looking for, then we would love to hear from you. To apply, please review the documents linked below, then select "Apply Online" at the bottom of this page and complete our application form, telling us how you meet the Specialist Skills, Knowledge and Experience criteria (Section 1 of the person specification). Guidance for completion can be found on each page of the application form.
Job Description
Benefits Package
We're the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we're here for everyone affected by sight loss. Working for us means working for one of the UK's biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK.
RNIB is committed to being led by our customers (blind and partially sighted people), and one of the ways we do this is through active involvement and engagement in many of our work activities, including the recruitment of new members of staff.
Please be aware that blind and partially sighted volunteers may be involved in the recruitment and selection process for this vacancy; including reviewing job applications and CV's, shortlisting and interviews and selection tests.
RNIB is committed to being an Equal Opportunities organisation and we welcome applications from people with sight loss.
